The Quoit Factory strives on bringing its customers with flawless genuine slate quoit boards built to last a lifetime. We take great pride in making this game in the United States with only the best materials and consistent quality standards. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Here is a description of our product.
Every Slate Quoit Board we produce has a textured finish which allows the rubber quoits to play and wear correctly. All four sides are cut with a diamond saw and are extremely smooth. The Quoit Factory only uses top quality slate from Pennsylvanian quarries whose operations have been ongoing for over a century!
Engraved Scoring Rings:
Our engraved scoring rings stand out as quality craftsmanship. They are distinct and consistent on all slate quoit board sets that we produce.
Machine Polished Hubs:
The Quoit Factory uses aluminum and brass hubs that are polished to a gorgeous finish.
Quoit Boards are played outdoors and so the supports are prone to the elements. The Quoit Factory's wooden supports are treated and typically last 20 years. They are cut on the proper angle to give the quoit board stability during play.
The black washer absorber protects the slate from the metal hub. This washer sits on top of the slate board so the metal doesn't grind into the slate rock. This washer absorber is made of a high strength material to protect against the 1 lb rubber quoit impacts onto the hub.
Stainless Steel Screws:
Stainless steel is the best wood screw to use in the pressure treated wood supports because of its strength and corrosion resistance. They will not rust.
The Quoit Factory specializes in the molding process of rubber quoits. Quoit Manufacturing is a delicate process; rubber quoits should not bounce easily or have the edges wear down quickly. We manufacturer all our rubber quoits using only premium rubber which is why our quoits have been know to last years of hard play.
Black League Quoits:
Quoit Leagues have been running in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for decades. The leagues consist of some of the best players who get ringers on nearly every pitch. All black quoits have been the tradition in the quoit leagues since the game started because that's all that was made at the time.
Our Black League Quoits wear down correctly and do not bounce off the quoit board. The quoits are regulation size and weight. We have received many compliments from current quoit league players on our quoits performance and durability. Some of those players have been playing for over 50 years!
The multi-color quoit was designed and patented by the Quoit Factory. This rubber quoit is the same material and weight as the Black League Quoits. The colors mold together at extremely high temperatures creating a seal. The colors go all the way through which creates a sealed bond for durability. There is no difference in performance or durability between color quoits and league quoits.
